Jules - K1 Annual Concert at MES Theatre

Here are some photos of St James Kindergarten Annual Concert which happened on 28 Oct at MES Theatre (Mediacorp).  Photos are taken by hubs DSLR.

The whole family, including my parents were really excited on attending Jules' annual concert even though he wasn't the graduating batch as he was only K1 this year. As I sat through the entire concert, even though the graduating batch was not my children, I felt an overwhelming sense of pride. Tears were welling up my eyes when I saw one by one, the little children going up the stage to receive their graduating scrolls in their "penguin" suit. Some forgot to bow, some went a wrong route on stage, but nonetheless, all so brave and all grown up!

goodness. i think when it happens to Jules next year, i will be bawling my eyes out.
it was so emotional for me.

and when it was Jules' class to do their performance, even though my seat was like bloody far away, i could see my little son, dancing away amongst the crowd!!! Him smiling and dancing effortlessly with his peers as I understand that the whole school has been rehearsing for months now. And all the backdrop, the choreography, costumes and script was put really well together in such a short time, especially so for children who are only 5-6 years old.

I AM SO PROUD OF YOU JULES!!!!

ps: When i do get to download some of my mobile photos, will post here too to share with everyone.
And I can't wait to see the online photos being upload from the official photographer so that I can start to purchase some zoom-in shots of my son!!!

Cafe Melba at Goodman Arts Centre

can't decide between Breakfast or Lunch? Why not have both?

One of my colleague was raving about this cafe called Cafe Melba and told me that besides serving up good food, it is super friendly area for kids....bouncy castles, verdant green for kids to run about, kids utensils...the list just goes on and on.

So i decided to give it a try and head out to the EAST!
They served Breakfast-All-Day (something which I totally love as it reminds me of my uni day in melbourne) and so I had to try their breakfast...and hubs wanted a lagsana. I got the kids pancakes and they loved it since it's all sweets and fruits. I would say their food is not the greatest and pricing is on the high side but it's definitely the amount of space allowed for kids that is the biggest draw for parents to pop over here.

The boys went to play football in the wide open green leaving baby Jade with me and hubs. We sipped our coffees and enjoyed an hour or so. The place can get pretty crowded on weekends since it's such a family friendly place in a casual laid-back setting.

US // Lunching at neighbourhood mall Sushiro

Every Sunday when we drop my 2 boys off at their grandparents, we will drive pass Thomson Plaza. Heard about a good Chirashi don restaurant called Sushiro and wanted very much to try it.

the queue was quite long when we got there at 11am. Waited about 30mins to get a table by the sashimi counter. Bought of us ordered the Set which came with side salmon sashimi, garden salad, miso soup and of cos our bowl or Chirashi don.

From the blogs and posts on Instagram where I was googling, the chockfuls of sashimi looked very yummy! But when our bowls came, you can see many portions of the rice and not what has been shown in other posts...so well I was a tad disappointed with the servings of sashimi on my bowl.

Nonetheless it was an experience for the both of us and including Jade!
Might be back but with a lower expectation on the serving portions.

Jade // Learning to take toys on her own

Sunday. weekends are the only times when I get to see my children's little milestones and progresses.
Jade is coming to 10 months old in 4 days time!
